Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine. Since 2010 – retired. Working languages: English and French.

Yurii Malko was born on October 29, 1946. He graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Faculty of Romano-Germanic Philology (1971) and Faculty of Economics (1977).

1971-1974 – military translator in Algeria; 1974-1975 – Senior Specialist in Teaching Methods  of Preparatory Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv; 1975-1979 – Senior Advisor, Acting Head of External Relations Department of the Industrial and Commercial Chamber of the USSR.

1979-1982 – Attaché, Third and Second Secretary of International Economic Organizations Department of the MFA of the USSR; 1982-1986 – Second Secretary of the Permanent Mission of the USSR to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Genève; 1986-1992 – First Secretary of the Department of International Economic Cooperation of the MFA of USSR/Ukraine; 1992-1993 – Chief Advisor on International Issues of the Ukrainian President's Service.

1993-1996 – Counselor-Envoy of the Embassy of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium; 1996-1997 – Head of the Department of International Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation of the MFA of Ukraine; 1997-2000 – Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. 

2000 – 2004 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Morocco, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania concurrently.

2004-2006 – Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine; 2006-2008 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Romania; 2008-2010 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Since 2010 – retired.

In 2015 was elected Head of the UFPA auditing committee.

Working languages: French and English.

Yurii Malko is married. He has a daughter and a grandson.
