Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador. Doctor of Philology, professor (since 1986). Area of expertise: ethnical and social linguistics, theory of translation, international relations, country studies.

Born on June 14, 1946. Graduated Taras Shevchenko State University of Kyiv (English language and translation) in 1969. UNESCO scholarship holder (1983). Doctor of Philology (since 1986).

1969-1992 - taught in the same university. In 1981-1992 was the dean of the foreign philology department, head of the Faculty of translation theory and practice. Area of expertise: ethnical and social linguistics, theory of translation, international relations, country studies.

1992-1993 -  Deputy Head of the National Center for realization of international technical help for Ukraine at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

1993-1998 – Ambassador of Ukraine to United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Yemen (concurrently).

1998-1999 – Head of the I territorial administration (Russian Federation and Commonwealth of Independent States) of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

1999-2001 – Head of the Department for arms-control and military technical cooperation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

2001-2006 – Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of India, Kingdom of Nepal, People’s Republic of Bangladesh , Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka(concurrently).

2007 -   assistant for the Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine

2007-2008 – Director of the I territorial Department (Russian Federation and Commonwealth of Independent States) of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

2008-2011 -  Ambassador of Ukraine to the Syrian Arab Republic.

At the present time – member of the board of directors of Ukrainian Foreign Police Association.
